Hello! My name is Tobias, and I am a former homeschooler (now a college student) who loves sharing his passions with others!
I have served as a live instructor for the Orange County (NY) Amateur Radio Club’s Technician Licensing Classes for two years in a row, teaching people about ham radio to prepare them to pass the Technician class ham radio license examination.
During high school, I also participated heavily in the NCFCA, where I competed in Lincoln Douglas Debate. I enjoyed debate, not only because it was a lot of fun, but also because it enabled me to become a better thinker, communicator, and Ambassador for Christ.
I am currently a freshman at college. I grew up in a Christian home, and at a relatively young age, I gave my life to Christ. Through the years, I became more and more aware of God’s presence in my life and in my family. I have come to better understand His grace, forgiveness, and many answers to prayer. I have enjoyed reading Christian books such as Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and Spiritual Depression by Martin-Lloyd Jones, and Know What You Believe by Paul Little. Through these books and through my experiences, He has taught me how to resist the temptations of the enemy and that He can hold everything in His hands, taking care of all of my worries.
One of my hobbies is ham radio, which allows me to communicate with people all over the world without using the internet. I also enjoy teaching and coaching students in Lincoln Douglas debate, as I competed in this category with NCFCA for 4 years throughout high school.
