Dr. Turansky and Mrs. Miller have co-authored fifteen books on parenting and created five video series with accompanying children’s curriculum. They speak around the country teaching parenting seminars in churches and schools. They are the co-founders of the National Center for Biblical Parenting and Biblical Parenting University. They use humor, practical stories, and examples to energize, refresh, and equip parents.
They live in Lawrenceville, NJ and both families attend the same church. Dr. Scott Turansky is also a professor at Concordia University where he teaches Masters Level Students in the Family Life Education Department. Joanne is a pediatric nurse and works in the hospital one or two times a week. Both couples homeschooled their children and have enjoyed a friendship for over 30 years.

Scott grew up in a Christian home where his parents shared a love for God’s Word, His Church, and a personal relationship with Him. Scott has served in the church since he was quite young, often working with children and youth. Joanne also grew up in a Christian home and met her husband Ed through interVarsity Christian Fellowship in college. Both couples love Jesus and are committed to helping parents raise the next generation of disciples for Christ.

Scott enjoys his grandkids. He also has nine birdfeeders in his backyard. He rides a bike several times a week and enjoys golf. Joanne loves kids. She enjoys her grandchildren and spends time with them each week. She also loves nursing where she is able to work with kids as well. And she likes the Yankees!
