I have been teaching in different capacities for about 14 years. After I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, I was a substitute teacher for a couple year before becoming a preschool teacher full time. Later, I decided to stay at home while I raised my own children. My husband and I decided to homeschool our three children. We use a variety of curricula that I personally teach to my now 11, 10, and 6 year old children. About 5 years ago, we joined a local classical homeschool group where I tutor other students once a week. Currently, I also teach ESL online and have done so for over 3 years. I have also taught Sunday School and Awana groups at our church for about 10 years. I love teaching elementary students in all the core areas, especially math and language arts.
I did not grow up in a Christian home, but had the influence of a Christian grandmother who put the desire to know Jesus in my heart. When I was 16, I began attending church with a friend and was later saved there. I strayed from Jesus during college, but was baptized at 24. Soon after, I met my husband and joined his church once we were engaged. I have been serving there for almost 15 years as a Sunday School teacher, Awana worker, choir member, nursery worker, and in any other capacity the church might use me for Jesus.
I enjoy crochet and reading, traveling and camping with my family.
