We are a proud United States Coast Guard family. My husband, Brian, has served in the both the Army and Coast Guard since 1989. Our family has endured twelve moves with many high adventures along the way. I have loved every state we have called home and have made life long friends from all over the US. We have been inspired by how strong God’s kingdom is throughout our land.

My teaching career began in 1992 where I first taught an ESL kindergarten class. I went on to teach in several different schools and I was blessed to teach both elementary and high school levels. My degree in Journalism and Marketing suited me well when I went back to earn my Secondary English certification.

After our first baby was born, we made the decision that home education was God’s plan for our family. I have been the primary teacher for our four children for over 19 years now. Our family motto within our home school has been “learn how to learn.” I teach with that motto in mind. I want my students to love learning and know how to find the answers they need to serve Christ in this world.

I look forward to learning alongside my precious students and will prayer continually for us to grow in our Lord Jesus Christ together!

I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home. My Savior, Jesus Christ, called me to himself when I was very young and I was baptized at the age of nine. I praise God as He has sustained my faith into adulthood and I seek to learn more and more about the one true and living God everyday. My family has been blessed to be a part of many different church families due to our military moves. We currently are members of Trinity Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Novato, CA.

My family and I really enjoy camping together and have been to some amazing places. I also find great joy in reading, photography, cooking and traveling. Most importantly, I love being a military wife which involves lots of planning, organizing and spontaneity!
