I’m an MIT & NC State grad and a homeschool dad! I love all things science and want to help kids learn to love science as well. I’ve taught my own kids for years, as well as teaching Chemistry at the university level. I have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, a master’s degree in chemical engineering from MIT, and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from NC State University. I believe learning should be fun, engaging, and spark curiosity and a love of the intricacies of the world we live in. My educational philosophy is the it is just as important to increase a student’s interest in science as it is to learn the material in a class. I have five kids ranging from 4th grade to 12th grade, have lived all over the world, and am a HUGE Red Sox fan.
I am a believer in Jesus Christ. I was raised in the church, but drifted away during college. Shortly after marrying my wife, we both found our way back to church and both accepted Jesus as our savior in 2004. Ever since we have been involved in our local church, helping with children’s ministries and youth groups.
I enjoy watching the Red Sox and playing with my kids. I grew up playing hockey, but have grown to love cheering on my kids in track, horseback riding, dance, and gymnastics!
