I was born in Wales, and attended the University of Wales where I studied Theology (Hons) and completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Education. I went on to teach in Scotland for 3 years, then Cambridge and eventually Newcastle in the North East of England.
I have been a Primary School teacher in the UK for 20 years.
I have homeschooled my three children for a number of years.
The age range I love to teach are between 5-13 years. Presently I teach at a local school in Newcastle -Upon-Tyne and enjoy teaching students aged 7-8 years and Nursery children aged 3-4 years. I teach all subjects of the curriculum.
My main strengths are in teaching maths, handwriting, phonics, art and outdoor learning. I have planned my very own phonics curriculum, and taught it in an online setting.
Recently I trained as a Forest School Leader and would love to bring the outside indoors at Luma Learn as we thank God for his beautiful creation.

I was brought up in a Christian home, where I gradually came to a deeper understanding of Jesus’ death on the cross and what it meant for me. I was around 8 years old when I really realised that I needed forgiveness for my sins, and to live loving the Lord. I went away to University, where thanks to a strong Church and Christian Union I met other likeminded believers and my husband! He became a pastor and we minister at a reformed evangelical church in Newcastle.

I love Scotland! We go there every year, and its beautiful scenery captiivates me as we walk in the hills and coast lines. I am crafty! I love researching artists and finding out about the stories behind paintings, I enjoy drawing, painting crocheting too. I love looking after my three children and raising them to follow the Lord Jesus.
