    I am a fun and passionate teacher who loves to teach many different subjects. I have been teaching for 10 years now. I first discovered my passion for teaching when I was a senior in high school and starting teaching sewing and craft classes at the homeschool group I attended. I have been teaching in various capacities ever since. I have been a lead preschool teacher at a daycare, a private tutor and a classroom aide at a Montessori both in a lower elementary class and in early childhood. I also have 8 years of experience working with special needs children, including as a tutor, as a caregiver, a community support worker, and as an aide in the classroom. In 2017 I got my associate\’s degree in special education from the College of Sothern Idaho.

    I began teaching online in January 2020, I do social skills classes, adaptive art, writing, and fun class like my themed color and chat classes. I am very excited to have the chance to teach on a Christian based platform and share my faith as well. I enjoy all the class I teach but lately, I have been feeling God is leading to teaching bible-based classes as well so finding Luma Learn was a huge confirmation of that.

    I was raised in a Christain home and have known Jesus my whole life. However, in 2016 I recommitted my life to Jesus and was rebaptized as an adult. Since then I have grown in my faith. In 2018 I had a miscarriage and a failed adoption of twins that also ended in miscarriage, this coming after almost 2 years of trying for a child really tested my faith. However, my husband stayed strong in his faith and prayed with me constantly and managed to get me through it. In June of this year we finally got our much prayed for miracle baby, after a very hard pregnancy he came 2 months early but after only 37 days in the NICU, he is home and doing amazing. He is my answer to prayer and I can begin to see now why I had to go through all of that. These last few years have been hard and tested my faith but I have come out of it with my faith stronger than ever.

    I enjoy reading, writing, spending time with my family, riding horses, and playing with my dog.
