Is poetry only for “artistic” types? What’s the difference between simile and metaphor? Are rhyme and rhythm that important? What even makes a poem a poem? Poetry Workshop answers all these questions and more!
This is the perfect course for future public speakers, politicians, preachers, writers of all stripes, radio and television hosts, Twitter and YouTube celebrities–in other words, anyone who wants to express him or herself with precision, clarity, and fire. If you’ve ever wanted to capture and hold an audience’s attention with just your words, this is the place to learn!
Stephanie Eagleson studied poetry through high school and college and taught it for years after graduating. She has written poetry for well over a decade and has finally decided to seek publication for some of her work. After leading a poetry workshop for the Creative Arts Gathering at her church, she turned the talk into a four-week intensive workshop. Here students from all backgrounds can learn how to free the voices inside and share the beauty, glory, struggle, pain, and tension inherent to us all but particular to each individual soul. I want to hear your story, and I want to help you tell it in the most rivetting, immersive way possible!
