This course will help your student gain a strong foundation and confidence moving forward into future Math Classes. This class follows the flipped classroom model which means that students will be watching video at home and taking notes. This should take them no more than 30 min as the videos are short but do ask them to pause and solve some problems. When we meet for class is when students complete the practice worksheets with the help of the teacher and their peers. Each Unit students will also complete a Unit Project that ties the Math to the world around them. These projects are assigned at the beginning of the Unit and are due on the day of the exam.
We will cover all of the 7th grade standards in the following Units:
Unit 1: Integers and Rational Numbers
Unit 2: Expression, Equations, and Inequalities
Unit 3: Ratios, Rates, Proportions, and Percents
Unit 4: Geometry and Area
Unit 5: Analyzing Data
Unit 6: Probability
